About the Role:
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will:
Teach RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to A-Level teaching.
Develop engaging and thought-provoking lessons that explore different religions, ethics, and philosophical questions.
Encourage students to consider and reflect on various beliefs, values, and cultures.
Participate in and possibly lead departmental projects and interfaith initiatives.
Collaborate with other humanities teachers to integrate interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Facilitate discussions that promote respect and understanding among students of diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
Holds a degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
Demonstrates a strong background in teaching Religious Education with a passion for promoting intercultural and interfaith dialogue.
Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is committed to continual professional development and staying updated with current educational methodologies and classroom technologies.
Has experience in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
