About the Role
As a Science Laboratory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our science departments. This position offers the opportunity to enhance the learning environment by providing essential support in our state-of-the-art laboratories, assisting teachers, and maintaining a safe and effective educational setting.
Requirements
Provide technical support and advice to teaching staff, facilitating engaging and safe scientific experiments.
Prepare and manage laboratory equipment and materials for classroom use, ensuring all resources are ready for lessons and demonstrations.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of laboratory resources and long-term educational projects.
Manage inventory and procurement of laboratory supplies, ensuring efficient use and budget adherence.
Maintain health and safety standards across all laboratory activities, performing risk assessments and enforcing COSHH regulations.
Support the school’s academic mission by assisting with exam invigilation and managing classroom resources during staff absences.
Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of best practices and safety protocols in science education.
Administer First Aid as needed and maintain certification.
